Savings Calculator – Calculate Savings Growth & Future Wealth Free
Advanced Savings Calculator
Spluxly’s free online Savings Calculator is a comprehensive financial planning tool designed for individuals, families, and anyone who wants to project how their savings will grow over time with the combined effect of regular contributions and compound interest. Enter your initial savings amount, your monthly contribution, an annual interest rate, your preferred compounding frequency — Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annually, or Annually — and your savings duration in years, and the calculator instantly returns your total savings at the end of the period, the total amount contributed across all deposits, and the total interest earned through compounding. A year-by-year projection table breaks down the growth of your savings for every year of the savings duration, showing the annual total balance, cumulative contributions, and cumulative interest earned at each stage. Whether you are planning an emergency fund, saving for a home deposit, building a retirement nest egg, or simply exploring the impact of different interest rates and contribution amounts on your long-term wealth, this calculator makes the numbers clear and actionable. Completely free, no registration required.
How to Use the Savings Calculator Online
Calculating your savings growth takes just seconds. Follow these simple steps:

Formula Used
The savings calculator combines two components — growth of the initial lump sum through compounding and growth of regular monthly contributions through compounding — and sums them for the total future value.
Future Value of Initial Savings: FV₁ = P × (1 + r ÷ n)^(n × t)
Future Value of Monthly Contributions: FV₂ = C × ((1 + r ÷ n)^(n × t) − 1) ÷ (r ÷ n)
Total Future Value: Total Savings = FV₁ + FV₂
Where:
- P = Initial savings amount
- C = Monthly contribution
- r = Annual interest rate as a decimal
- n = Compounding periods per year
- t = Time in years
Example for $10,000 initial savings, $500 monthly contribution, 5% annual interest, monthly compounding over 10 years:
- FV of initial savings: $16,470.09
- FV of contributions: $77,641.18
- Total Savings: $94,111.27
- Total Contributed: $10,000 + ($500 × 120) = $70,000
- Total Interest Earned: $94,111.27 − $70,000 = $24,111.27
